Parking and Finding Our Office

Better Selves Counseling is located within the McNab Executive Plaza at 1000 W McNab Rd, on the south side of West McNab Road and just west of the I-95 overpass.

Parking. The McNab Executive Plaza offers free parking for visitors and patrons, with visitor parking spots marked in yellow available on the west side of the building and handicap parking adjacent to the west door. Visitors and patrons are free to park in any space on any side of the building. The most efficient way to the suite is through the east side of the building, which also provides elevator accessibility and handicap parking.

Finding Suite 259. From the west side of the building, enter the double-doors, walk left past the long hallway, and take the elevator to the second floor. Exiting the elevator, turn left into the waiting space and walk east down the hallway until you reach the fire exit. Turn left at the fire exit and around to a corridor of offices, where you will find our suite. From the east side of the building, enter the double-doors and access the elevator on the right to the second floor. Exit the elevator to the left where you will come around to the corridor of offices. We provide our counseling services in suites 255 and 254.

When you arrive. You may wait in the second floor waiting area, where seating is provided. Your therapist will be expecting your arrival upon confirming the initial appointment over the phone, or may have agreed with you to text upon arrival.

Accessibility. Step-free access to the building is provided on the west side entrance, which also provides elevator accessibility and handicap parking.

From Deerfield Beach, take North Dixie Highway southbound to McNab Road and turn west. Our offices are located to the south-side of the road, just left past the overpass.

From Coconut Creek, take Atlantic Boulevard eastbound from Lyons Road and turn south on North Andrews Avenue. Head East on West McNab Road, and our offices will be located on the right.

From Oakland Park, take North Andrews Avenue northbound to West McNab Road and turn east. Our offices will be located on the right.

From Wilton Manors, take North Dixie Highway northbound to McNab Road and turn west. Our offices are located to the south-side of the road, just left past the overpass.

From Lighthouse Point, take US1 Southbound to West Atlantic Boulevard and turn west. Turn south onto North Dixie Highway and turn east onto West McNab Road. Our offices are located to the south-side of the road, just left past the overpass.

From Coral Springs, head south on University Drive and turn east on to West Atlantic Boulevard. Turn south onto North Andrews Avenue and turn east onto West McNab Road. Our offices are located on the right, before the overpass.

From Fort Lauderdale, travel north on I-95 and take the Cypress Creek Road West exit, turn north onto North Andrews Avenue, and turn east onto West McNab Road. Our offices are located on the right, before the overpass.

Cant make it to session?

We provide telehealth counseling to clients anywhere in Florida. Sessions run through a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform, and you can meet with the same counselor you would see in person.

Telehealth works well if you live outside Broward County, have a schedule that makes driving difficult, or simply prefer meeting from home. If you’re not sure whether in-person or telehealth is the better fit, we can talk it through during a free consultation.

Do you accept insurance? We accept Aetna, Florida Blue, and Cigna, along with Medicare. We also offer reduced-fee sliding scale sessions and are accessible through the Open Path Collective. Do I need an appointment? Yes — we see clients by appointment only. You can book online or call our new client line at (954) 271-1208.

How long is a session? We provide 53-60 minute sessions.

What happens in a first session? Your first appointment begins where the initial consultation with your counselor leaves off from. We’ll talk about what brought you in, what you’re hoping to work on, and whether we’re the right fit. There’s no obligation to continue.

Are you accepting new clients? Yes. While our counselors work to meet our clients as soon as reasonably possible, our wait time is usually within the week.
