Supervision Modality
I provide supervisory support for Registered Mental Health Counseling Interns and Marriage & Family Therapy Interns who are earning hours towards licensure. I also provide opportunities for referrals within the scope of my private practice at a competitive rate schedule. Finally, I am available as a supervisor to help support established professionals who can no longer self-supervise.
In my supervision approach, I believe in recognizing each supervisee as a unique professional on their own journey of growth. As supervisors, we focus on three main aspects: awareness (both self-awareness and awareness of others), motivation, and autonomy. We assess these aspects through various means such as assessments, supervision recordings, documentation, and case presentations. Then, we tailor our supervisory interventions to support the supervisee’s growth, always considering where they are in their development.
Additionally, my approach involves adapting to the specific needs of each supervisee by taking on different supervisory roles. These roles include that of a teacher, counselor, and consultant. Whether we’re providing guidance on theoretical counseling concepts, supporting personal growth, or discussing counseling best practices, we prioritize a collaborative relationship model. This model emphasizes cultural competence, empowerment of the supervisee, and a shared journey towards professional excellence.
